Between the trees – drawings
A work made outside following the movement and sounds of insects, birds and the psithurism of trees. The orangery was in disrepair, brambles had taken over the floor and begun to creep up the walls.The dialogue of space, decay, growth and mark made The orangery the perfect place to show these drawings. The passage like space dictated the final hanging, which also mimicked the flight of birds .
In situ – songs and silence – woodcut
Woodcuts on Kozo of birds song at dawn were placed like tapestries in the square room of the chateau indicating its past link with the tapestries made in Aubusson. The square patchwork floor mirroring the square woodcuts.
