Dawn Chorus began from a 1 min recording made during lockdown on may 3rd in 2020. Suspended scrolls with woodcut panels, each woodcut repeated along the scroll. Installed they allow the viewer to walk amongst them and gently move with the passage of air around them . The one min recording of the dawn chorus can be accessed by a QR code – viewer becomes participant in the work playing the sound in the space. For a film of the work go to my installations page.

This uses fragments of the full recording above . Printed on Kozo and using the transparent nature of the paper I used both sides allowing the ink behind to alter the front colour of the work. Fugitive in colour it chages depending on the time of day.
