Birdsong

Birdsong

For quite some time now I have been interested in using notions of invisibility in my work and that has lead me to use braille in pieces for about the last 4 years. In April 2019 I began recording birdsong – particularly Nightingales which migrate from Africa to this region of France. The first recoding I made was on April 14 2019. These recordings were simply made on my i phone every time I went for a walk. At the time I was working on making work that used rubbish that I saw on the walk combined with text notes made about light, colour, and natural elements – pitching the visual with the real.

Through this i made a series of mono prints of the rubbish.
